Voice in the Desert was started after God put on my heart that His people needed to be more informed about the world they live in. In this crazy, busy, and hectic life, often times people just don’t have the time to sit down and sift through all the news stories of the day — and if they do find time, it can sometimes be hard to know what to make of it all. If we as believers want to see prophecy unfolding before our very eyes, we need look no further than the headlines and current events of today. We need to understand the signs of the times we are living in so that we can be prepared to stand up and take our place in preparing the way in the wilderness for YHVH.
The same is true of Hebraic Roots and religion. People want to study and know more about the faith they profess. They want to know the truth and how to live out that truth. The problem is that through the centuries, the truth has been hidden and tainted. Proverbs tells us that “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out.” When we search out YHVH’s truth, He will reveal it to us. It might go against tradition or what we were taught. But part of learning is to admit that what we thought we knew, might not be the truth and that we don’t have all the answers. We do, however, know the One who does have all the answers and has given us truth in His Word. Sometimes, in order to move to new heights, we must leave the familiar things we knew behind.
We must always be growing and never stay stagnant. We must be informed so we can all be a Voice in the Desert preparing the way of YHVH.
